Account & data

Do I need an account to use the app?

This device

No. You can create and use trackers on this device without signing in. Sign in to back up trackers to the cloud and use them on other devices.

What happens when I sign out?

This device

Signing out removes trackers from this device. Synced tracker data stays in your cloud account — sign in again to restore it. Unsynced changes may be lost.

How do I restore data on a new phone?

Plus

Sign in with the same account and sync. Tracker progress restores from the cloud. Free photos and PDFs are not cloud-backed — only Plus attachment backups restore across devices.

How is my data secured?

This device

We use HTTPS in transit, encrypted session storage on your device, and database access controls so other users cannot read your private data (shared lists only show what you invite people to). Payment card numbers stay with Apple or Google — we never see them. Crash reports (when enabled in a store or preview build) go to Sentry as device/app metadata and error class — not tracker titles, notes, invite tokens, or email. No system is perfectly secure; see our Privacy Policy for processors (Supabase, RevenueCat, OpenAI when you use AI, and Sentry when reporting is on).

Can I change the language, text size, or dark mode?

Yes — in Profile. Language offers English, Deutsch, Français, 日本語, 한국어, or System. Text size makes everything larger or smaller, and Appearance switches between System, Light, and Dark. Show tips turns the spotlight tips back on, and Help & FAQ is under Support.

Cloud sync

Can Free users sync?

FreePlus

Yes. When signed in, Free includes up to 5 active lists and 10 lists (in progress + finished you still keep). You also have a lifetime create limit (25 on first Free; 10 after a paid Plus period ends). Upgrade to Plus for 10 active, 25 lists, and 25 new lists per month. Sharing lists stays free.

What are Free and Plus sync limits?

FreePlus

Free (signed in): 5 active · 10 lists · lifetime creates 25 (or 10 starting at 0 after a paid Plus period ends) · up to 3 Life Reminders · friends 50 · groups you own 5 · 5 files/tracker. Plus: 10 active · 25 lists · 25 new lists per month (deletes do not refund creates) · up to 10 Life Reminders · friends 100 · groups you own 20 · 10 files/tracker. Plus also adds 100 MB cloud attachments and 30 AI drafts per month. Lists you joined also count toward Active and Lists, and still use Joined (5 Free / 10 Plus) and Trackers-to-join (5 Free / 10 Plus) caps. Create meters are owned lists only.

How many lists can I join?

FreePlusSharing

Free: up to 5 lists you have already joined, and up to 5 invites waiting under Trackers to join. Plus: 10 joined and 10 waiting. Joined lists also count toward Active and Lists. When the waiting queue is full, extra shares land in a short “couldn’t be delivered” history (up to 5) until you free a slot and they share again. Leave a joined list to free a Joined slot. Owner Archive holds up to 5 lists for 24 hours each (auto-deletes; full Archive replaces the oldest).

Why can't I create a new tracker?

Free

Free limits creates three ways: 5 active at a time, 10 lists, and your lifetime create limit. Deleting an unfinished list frees a list slot (it no longer appears on My Progress) but still counts toward lifetime creates. Complete one if you only hit the 5. If you hit 10 lists, remove older finished lists. If lifetime is used up, upgrade to Plus (10 active · 25 lists · 25 new lists/month). Lists you joined also count toward Active and Lists (and still use the Joined cap). After Plus ends you may also be blocked from new creates until you are under Free soft caps — see “What happens when Plus ends?”

What counts toward the Free 10 lists?

Free

Lists that still appear on My Progress (owned and joined): in progress and finished. Unfinished lists you deleted do not count toward 10, but creating owned ones did burn lifetime create. Deleting a finished list frees a list slot. Lists you joined also use the Joined cap.

What does Plus change for sync?

Plus

Plus raises sync to 10 active lists, 25 lists, and 25 owned creates per UTC month (deletes do not refund creates), plus cloud attachment backup and monthly AI drafts. If you hit a Plus cap, complete active lists, remove older finished ones, or wait for the next UTC month for creates. When paid Plus ends, Free lifetime create resets to 0 of 10 (refunds do not reset). A higher plan with more room is planned later. Sharing stays free for everyone.

What happens when Plus ends or I cancel?

PlusFree

Cancel keeps Plus until the paid period ends. When you return to Free: your lists stay — we do not delete them to fit Free caps. If you are over 5 active or 10 lists, you keep the excess but cannot grow (new owned creates / some invites) until you free room or renew. After a paid Plus period ends (not a refund), lifetime creates reset to 0 of 10. Cloud photos/PDFs: view/download for 30 days, inaccessible days 31–60, then purged at 60 if still Free. AI drops to Free trial rules only. Profile may show a one-time banner listing what applies.

What does the orange dot on a list mean?

Unsaved

That list has unsaved edits — steps, notes, or other progress you changed but have not Saved yet. Open it and tap Save (signed in) so the cloud and anyone you share with can see them. Leaving without saving keeps the draft on this device; the orange dot stays until you Save or Discard.

When should I Save?

Unsaved

After you check steps or edit progress, use Save so those changes sync — and so Activity on that list records them. Until then they stay on this phone only. If you leave the tracker with unsaved edits, we ask first. After you reopen the app, Home may show a soft reminder if any lists still have drafts.

What if several lists have unsaved changes?

Unsaved

Each orange dot is its own draft. Saving one list does not upload the others. Home’s reminder counts them all; Review opens one list at a time (shared lists first). Save that one, then Review again or open another dotted list. Not now hides the Home reminder for this session — the orange dots remain.

How do I know when my lists last synced?

Profile → Cloud sync shows when this account last synced successfully, and it stays after you close the app. While a sync runs it shows Syncing…, and if a sync fails it shows Sync failed; either way Last: with the last successful sync time stays visible just under it. Tap a failed row to see why and Retry. Signing out clears it.

What does pull to refresh do?

Sharing

Pull down on Home, Progress, Friends, Profile, and similar lists to refresh shared checklists and people (not a full Sync now). After someone accepts your friend QR, pull down on Friends so they appear under People — switching to the Friends tab does not auto-refresh. Pull to refresh is off while you are drafting a new tracker on Create, or on a tracker with unsaved changes or an open sheet. Use Profile → Sync now for a full account sync, and Save on the tracker to upload that list’s edits.

Attachments

Are my photos and PDFs backed up on Free?

FreeThis device

No. On Free, files stay on this phone only and will not follow you to another device. Signing out permanently deletes them from this device. Upgrade to Plus to back them up first.

How much attachment storage do I get on Plus?

Plus

Plus includes 100 MB of cloud attachment backup per account (up to 10 files per tracker). Plus can turn Keep finished photos On so photos stay after you complete a list (they still use this quota). Off (default) auto-deletes files on a completed tracker after 90 days — see “Do finished trackers keep my photos forever?”

Do finished trackers keep my photos forever?

PlusFree

The tracker and your progress stay in history (within sync caps). On Free, photos and PDFs auto-delete 90 days after you complete a tracker (on this device) — you’ll see a warning; Free cannot Keep (upsell Plus). On Plus, Keep finished photos is Off by default (90-day purge); turn it On to keep cloud files (they still use your cloud quota). Save or export important receipts before then. To free space sooner, open Profile → Attachments and remove files from trackers that use the most storage.

How do I free attachment space?

PlusFree

Open Profile → Attachments to see how much space you use and which trackers hold files. Tap a tracker to open it and remove photos or PDFs. On Free, finished trackers auto-delete attachments after 90 days (progress stays). On Plus, turn Keep finished photos On to keep them (uses quota); Off (default) = 90-day purge.

What happens to cloud files if Plus ends?

PlusFree

For 30 days after Plus ends, existing cloud photos and PDFs stay view/download only — no new uploads. From day 31 they are inaccessible while we wait for renew. After 60 days, if you are still Free, we delete those cloud files. Copies only on your phone are your responsibility. Renew Plus before purge to keep cloud access to remaining files.

Can I add photos, notes, and history to a list?

FreePlus

Yes. Attach photos and PDFs to a list — on Free they stay on this phone, and Plus backs them up to the cloud. The list note holds pinned details (like an account number or a phone number) and keeps up to 3 previous versions for 30 days, so you can restore an older one. Activity shows who changed what and updates when changes are saved.

Sharing

Do I need Plus to share a tracker?

SharingFree

No. Sharing is free. Anyone with an account can join a shared checklist (Home Scan QR, Friends Scan QR, or a link). You need to be signed in to share or accept. Cloud files on that tracker follow the owner’s plan.

Who can see my shared tracker?

Sharing

People who accept your invite can see that list’s name, steps (including Assign tags — free-text names and who is tagged), progress, notes, comments, and activity. What they can change depends on the access you set in Share → Manage. Attachment files follow your plan as the owner (Free stays on your phone; Plus can back up to the cloud). Only share lists you are comfortable letting those people see. You can change access, revoke invites, and remove members anytime.

What are Comments and Activity?

Sharing

On a shared list, Comments are messages for the people on it — not live chat. Notes are pinned details for the list itself. Activity is the timeline of who checked, changed, or added what. It updates when changes are saved, so everyone sees the same history.

What are Viewer, Member, and Editor?

Sharing

They're the access levels on a shared list. Viewers see the list but can't check steps or change it. Members check steps and leave notes, but can't change the list setup. Editors can also edit the list — name, steps, details, and Assign — and aren't limited by Lock. As the owner, pick Who can update in Share → Manage: None (everyone is a Viewer), Everyone is a Member, or Custom per person. When Options → Lock is on, Members can only change items assigned to them. Who can invite lets you choose Everyone on the list; Owner, Members, and Editors; or Owner only. Changes apply when you tap Save.

What’s the difference between inviting a friend and inviting someone to a list?

Sharing

On Friends, Invite someone sends a friend request (email or QR) so they appear under Friends. On a shared list, Invite someone to this list sends a join link for that checklist only — it does not add a Friend by itself. Use Friends when you want to share many lists later; use the list invite when you only need them on this one.

How do I join a list someone shared?

Sharing

Scan their list QR with Scan on Home or Friends, or open the invite link they sent, then accept. You need a free account. Joined lists appear on My Progress under Joined. The owner runs the list; if they delete it, people who can edit may apply to become the new owner.

Does my Plus cover my spouse or family?

Plus

No. Plus is per account. Each person who wants higher sync limits, cloud attachments, or AI on their own account needs their own Plus. Free accounts can still sync within Free caps.

What happens if I delete a shared list?

Sharing

If 24-hour recovery is on, the list goes to Archive for 24 hours (up to 5 lists at a time; archiving another when full replaces the oldest; countdown shows Auto-deletes in Nh) and a transfer request starts automatically. You can Restore, or people who can edit may Apply (same as Request transfer). You pick who becomes owner. Your Archive list shows when someone has applied. If you Delete forever or let Archive expire without picking someone, the list becomes Needs an owner — members who turned on Notify me if I can become owner may Become owner (first wins). With recovery off, there is no Archive; the list goes straight to that Needs an owner claim path for people who opted in. Someone you removed from the list cannot become owner. We do not make a second personal copy of the same list.

What does Needs an owner mean?

Sharing

The list has no owner for a short time (for example after Archive ends without a transfer, delete with recovery off, or an account delete with notify on). If you can edit, you’re still on the list, Notify me if I can become owner is on, and you have space (active list slot and files if any), you can tap Become owner to keep the same list going. Photos move to your account. If nobody becomes owner in time, the list is removed for everyone.

How do I transfer ownership of a shared list?

Sharing

While the list is live: the owner taps Request transfer in Manage people (Can edit people only). Someone who can edit applies; the owner confirms. Files move to the new owner. Transfer without photos is only allowed after the request expires with no applicants. When you delete with recovery on: transfer starts automatically in Archive — applicants and Transfer to … appear on the Archive detail banner (and Manage → Transfer).

What does Notify me if I can become owner mean?

Sharing

On a list you joined (Member or Editor, and the owner hasn’t blocked Become owner), this asks for alerts and is required to Become owner on a Needs an owner claim (Archive ended without a pick, recovery-off delete, or owner account delete). During Archive, you can still Apply like a transfer without this toggle — the owner picks. It does not create a separate personal copy while sharing is active.

What are Friends?

Sharing

Friends are people you know in the app. Invite them once, then share any checklist in one tap. Optional groups (like Household or Trip) organize friends — you never have to use a group (up to 5 groups you own on Free, 20 on Plus). Joining a shared checklist via link does not automatically add a Friend. After someone accepts your Show my QR invite, pull down on Friends to refresh and see them under People. Caps are generous (up to 50 on Free, 100 on Plus); invite spam is limited with pending and daily caps, not paywalls.

Can Friends see my Free or Plus plan?

SharingFreePlus

Yes — Friends and people on lists you share with may see a coarse Free or Plus tint on avatars (Friends, groups, Share manage, and People on a list). That helps spot who can hold cloud attachments or take a transfer. We do not show card numbers, prices, or renewal dates. After someone accepts your friend invite, pull down on Friends (or Sync now) so their plan tint can refresh.

If I remove a Friend, are they removed from my shared lists?

Sharing

No. Removing someone from Friends only clears the friend link. Shared lists stay until you remove them from that list (or they leave). When they leave or are removed, any Assign @ tags for them become # free text on those items (still a work note — Unassign to clear). Leaving or being removed from a list also does not remove the Friend. Only deleting an account clears Friends both ways.

If I remove someone from a shared list, can they become owner later?

Sharing

No. Once you remove them (or they leave), they are off that list and cannot Become owner during Archive / recovery — even if Become owner is allowed for current members.

What happens to Assign tags if someone leaves or is removed?

Sharing

They lose list access. Any @ tags for them on checklist items become #Name free text so the work note stays. Unassign (chip × or People → Unassign) clears a tag on that item only — it does not remove list membership by itself. Removing a Friend is separate from list membership.

What happens if I hit the friends limit?

Sharing

Remove people under Friends (this does not remove them from shared lists), or upgrade to Plus for a higher active limit. Show my QR and Invite someone are blocked at the cap. If you have too many pending invites, cancel one you sent. If you hit the daily invite cap, try again tomorrow — that limit is anti-abuse, not a paywall.

Will I get a notification when someone shares a list?

Sharing

Yes — if Profile → Notifications is On and system notification permission is allowed. You’ll get banners for friend invites, when someone accepts yours, and when someone shares a list. Due-date reminders use the same toggle and stay scheduled on this device. Invite alerts need a signed-in account and a real app build (not Expo Go).

Status

Same colors as the pills on your trackers.

Active

In progress — not past due, and Hold is off.

Hold

Blocked on someone or something — not paused.

Overdue

A due date on the tracker or an unfinished step is already past.

Completed

You finished it (all steps, the target, or the last stage).

Needs attention

Home list — Overdue, Hold, or due within 3 days. Not its own tracker pill.

What do Active, Hold, Overdue, and Completed mean?

Trackers show colored status pills. Overdue or Due soon can show together with Hold (left to right on My Progress cards and Detail). Active means in progress with Hold off; Hold means blocked; Due soon is within 3 days; Overdue is past due; Completed is finished.

What does Hold mean?

Hold

Hold means this list is blocked — for example hospital lab results, a landlord, or a partner picking up groceries. It is not paused; you can still check steps. Turn on Hold from the tracker (when Tracker Options → Hold is on) and optionally add a short line for what you are waiting on. That line shows on Home. Turn Hold off when you can move again.

What does Overdue mean?

Overdue

A date you set is already past: the tracker due date, or a date on an unfinished step. Being behind on a savings target or percent does not make it Overdue. Check off the late step, change the date, or finish the tracker to clear it.

What is Needs attention?

Needs attention

A Home list — not its own tracker pill. It includes Overdue, Hold, and anything due today or in the next 3 days. An Active tracker can still appear there if it is due soon. Lists due further out stay under Up next. On My Progress, incomplete lists are grouped Overdue → Due soon → Hold → Active (under Personal, Shared by me, or Joined). Due soon and overdue also tint the due date and bell on the tracker and in the Progress list. Progress cards show status pills lower-right (Late/Due soon and Hold can stack).

Why does my Hold tracker also show Overdue or Due soon?

HoldOverdue

A past or near due date adds its own pill. Hold stays on until you turn it off — both can show at once on My Progress and Detail.

Is Hold the same as an invite waiting to accept?

Hold

No. Hold on a tracker is that list, blocked on someone or something. Invites you have not accepted yet are on My Progress under Joined — those are lists someone sent you. They are not a tracker status.

Where do I show or hide due dates, notes, Assign, Lock, and sub-items?

On the list: Tracker Detail → ⋯ → Settings. Open Options for list and row chrome (including Assign and Lock on checklist / Life Reminder items); open Sharing (shared lists only) for who can join, edit, and take over. Show settings per item (under Options → Item Options) lets one row override the list (including unlock when Lock is On). See Help → What does Assign mean? and What does Lock mean on items?

Can I edit a completed list?

Completed

No. Completed lists are view-only. You can delete them from Completed (trash). Duplicate is not available on completed lists. If you marked one complete by mistake, the owner can Mark as not completed within 24 hours (hours left show as Nh down to 0h) so it returns to My Progress. Joined members cannot reopen. Progress → Archive is separate — that is owner recovery for deleted shared lists, not the Completed tab.

Trackers

What kinds of lists can I make?

Three kinds. Checklist is for things you do once, like a move — steps, groups, times, and places (opens in Maps). Target is a number you want to reach, like $1,000 saved or 12 books read — pick a unit and log progress. Life Reminder is for things that repeat — birthdays, bills, car, pets, home, health, documents. When you tap Done, the next date is set for you. Every list shows a progress bar and the next step, and you can use more than one kind. Pick the kind first on Create.

Can I group steps or add a time and location?

Yes. Turn on Group, Due date / time, and Location under Settings → Options (Item Options). Then open Details on a step. Group shows as a heading above those steps and on Home for the current step (Day 1 · Land). Time shows on the step. Location opens Maps. Leave them Off (or blank) and the list stays a simple checklist.

What does Assign on a checklist item mean?

When Options → Assign is On, you can tag who handles an item: free text (#Name), a Friend not on the list yet (?Name — they get a list invite when you create or save), or someone already on the shared list (@Name). Up to 8 tags per item. Everyone on the list can see Assign tags; only the owner and Editors can change them (Edit). Collapsed Details and chips use those prefixes plus chip color. Unassign (chip × or People → Unassign) only clears the tag on that item — it does not remove them from the list or cancel a waiting invite. When Lock is also On, Assign tags are how Members get permission to edit that item.

What does Lock mean on items?

Sharing

When Options → Lock is On, checklist and Life Reminder items start locked. Members (Can edit) may change only items they are assigned to, or rows an Owner or Editor unlocked. Editors and the owner can always edit. Turning Lock On also turns Assign On and Show settings per item On (so Owner/Editor can unlock a row); you cannot turn Assign Off while Lock is On. View only people still cannot edit. See Help → What does Assign mean?

What units can I use on a Target?

On a Target list, tap the unit chip next to the amount to pick money ($, €, £, ¥, ₱), weight (lbs, kg), distance (mi, km), %, count (#), or type a short custom unit (up to 12 characters). Changing the unit only changes the label — it does not convert the number. The unit is stored with the tracker and shows wherever the amount appears.

How do I log progress on a Target and add a note?

On a Target list, tap a quick amount (like +50) or type your own and tap Add or Reduce. The number updates and a small +50 floats up so you can see it counted. Tap Add a note to say what the update was for — one note covers all your unsaved adds and reduces. When your changes are saved, Activity shows one line, like “Added 100 — birthday money”.

When do Settings changes save?

Unsaved

Tracker Detail → ⋯ → Settings (Options, and Sharing on shared lists) stays a draft until you tap Save. Cancel or close without Save discards those toggles — they are not live-apply. That is separate from the orange-dot Save for progress on the list, and from Save in Share → Manage people.

What happens if I leave Create with a draft?

Unsaved

If you typed a prompt, picked a starter, or filled in steps and leave Create (another tab or back), we ask Discard tracker? Confirming clears that draft for good — it is not the same as an orange-dot draft on an existing list, which you can Save later. Stay on Create or finish Create tracker to keep working.

When does Activity update after I check steps or change progress?

Unsaved

When you are signed in, progress edits (checks, Target amounts, Hold, Life Reminder Done) stay a local draft until you Save. Activity on that list updates when you Save — Discard drops the draft and does not leave junk timeline rows. Save also syncs so people you share with can see the same progress.

What's on Home?

Home shows what needs you now. Needs your attention lists anything overdue, on Hold, or due in the next 3 days. Quick access holds up to 6 pinned lists. Continue picks up the list you were working on, and Up next shows what's coming. Tap the calendar icon for Calendar.

What are pins on Home?

This device

You can pin up to 6 active lists on Home under Quick access (owned or joined). Pins are shortcuts to the same lists — not copies — and stay on this device (not cloud favorites, not sync meters). Your first create auto-pins when the board is empty. Completing a list removes it from the board. Delete or leave can leave a ghost pin id that still counts toward 6 until you Edit pins or Clear all. The same list can still show under Needs attention when it is overdue, on hold, or due soon. Continue / Up next usually hides when that list is already pinned (except when you only have one or two lists). Edit pins is draft → Cancel/Save; rearrange or unpin anytime from Quick access ⋮.

What is My Progress?

The My Progress tab holds all your lists: Personal, Shared by me, Joined, and Archive. Search finds names, notes, and steps. Finished lists move to Completed and become view-only. Archive keeps shared lists you deleted with recovery on — up to 5, each for 24 hours — so you can Restore them or delete them forever.

Calendar & Life Reminders

What is Calendar?

This device

Calendar is an in-app month view of due dates from your lists and steps (and Life Reminder items). Open it from the calendar icon on Home. It builds from your progress data on this device — opening Calendar does not ask for phone calendar permission. To put your due dates on your phone calendar, tap the sync icon in Calendar or Schedule (Sync to phone calendar).

What is Schedule?

This device

Schedule is the list view of upcoming (and overdue) items. Pick a time window (Today, Week, Month, 1 year, or Custom days/weeks/months) from the select next to the item count. Sort by due date, name, or type; Filter still narrows by urgency or list kind. Use the list icon on Calendar to switch.

What is a Life Reminder?

A Life Reminder is a repeating care list with one kind per list (birthdays, bills, car, pets, home care, health, documents, custom, and more) — not a one-shot checklist. Items have their own due dates and recurrence (Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Custom: every N days / day of the month), plus optional kind fields (amount, birth date, service type, and similar). On the list, Done is a 3-state check: empty → (if past due) soft outline + a short info note → solid green until the next due. If you’re not past due, one tap goes straight to green. Uncheck restores the prior due. Calendar Mark done jumps straight to green. Create one from Create → Life Reminder → pick a kind, or try a starter (starter locks Reminder type until you clear to None). Changing kind when items exist asks you to confirm and replaces items with one blank monthly row (name kept); blank Custom can switch without that wipe. Life Reminders do not use a list-level due date. Optional Hold and item fields are under Options on the list.

How do Next due, Repeats, and Remind work?

Each Life Reminder item has its own dates. Next due is the date that reminds you. Repeats sets how it moves forward after you tap Done: Once, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Custom (for example every 3 months). Remind can alert you on the Day of, or 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week before — it turns on once the item has a Next due. Alerts need Notifications on in Profile.

How many Life Reminders can I have?

FreePlus

Free: up to 3 Life Reminders you own. Plus: up to 10. Lists you join do not use this cap — they use Joined and Active/Lists instead. Items on each list follow the same Free 10 / Plus 25 item caps as checklists (sub-items count toward that cap). Owned Life Reminders also count toward your Active and Lists sync meters.

Is Calendar the same as Add to Calendar on my phone?

This device

No. In-app Calendar / Schedule only show My Progress Bar due dates. Add to Calendar (on a list or step) is optional — it creates one event on your phone calendar when you choose it. To put all your due dates on your phone calendar at once, use Sync to phone calendar. We do not read your other events.

What is Sync to phone calendar?

This device

From Calendar or Schedule, tap the sync icon to write your due dates into a separate My Progress Bar calendar on this phone. Sync writes one all-day reminder per list per due day (if several things are due that day, they’re listed in the event notes). It is intentional (not automatic on open or pull-to-refresh), free when signed in, and write-only — we don’t read your other calendars. Remove sync anytime to delete those phone events; your in-app Calendar is unchanged. Needs a development or store build (not Expo Go).

Home screen widget

What is the Home Glance widget?

This device

Home Glance is an optional home-screen widget that shows what to do next from your lists — Needs attention, Quick access pins, and join/friend request chips. It is read-only: tap a row to open that list in the app. The widget refreshes when you open or leave the app from data already on this phone. It is not the same as pins inside Home, and it does not replace local due reminders.

How do I add the Home Glance widget?

This device

On iPhone or Android, long-press the home screen → Widgets / Add widget → choose My Progress Bar (Home Glance). Open the app once after you add it so it can refresh. The widget itself is free — there is no paywall on the widget.

Does Home Glance need Plus?

FreePlus

No. Everyone can add the widget and see owned lists from this device. Plus may quietly refresh Shared or Joined lists that already appear on the widget up to twice a day (morning and evening). That is not Pull to refresh or full Sync now, and Free does not run those silent updates.

Reminders & tips

How do reminders work?

This device

Reminders are local notifications on this phone — we do not send reminder content through our servers. Turn on Notifications in Profile, then use the bell on a list. Lists and items with a due date remind you at 9:00 on the due day (or at the item’s time when it has one). On Life Reminder items, pick Remind to also get an alert 1, 3, or 7 days before. Anything overdue is combined into one 9:00 summary instead of many alerts, and lists on Hold stay quiet. Tap a notification to open that list. Turn off anytime in Profile or per list.

What are the spotlight tips?

This device

Optional Coach tips highlight one useful action at a time (for example Create, Options, pin, share, or Save). Seen and skipped tips stay on this device. Turn tips back on anytime under Profile → Show tips.

Where is the Getting started guide?

Profile → Getting started. Ten short chapters cover everything the app does, and each ends with a button that opens the real screen. Page through a chapter to check it off. When every chapter is done, the guide moves to Profile → Support, and your progress follows your account.

Plus & AI

What does Plus include?

Plus

10 active · 25 lists · 25 new lists/month, up to 10 Life Reminders, 100 MB attachment backup, and 30 AI drafts per month. Sharing stays free for everyone.

How does Fill with AI work?

FreePlus

On Create, pick Checklist, Target, or Life Reminder first. When you are signed in and have Free trial or Plus AI left, open Fill with AI on the details step, enter a prompt, and tap Generate — the draft fills that type. Review and edit before you Create. Signed out or out of drafts: Fill with AI is hidden; you can still create manually. Your prompt goes to OpenAI when you Generate (suggestions only — see “Are AI drafts professional advice?”).

Can I try AI without Plus?

FreePlus

Signed-in Free accounts get a limited AI trial (3 drafts in the first 30 days). After that, upgrade to Plus for the monthly AI quota (30 drafts per month). You always pick the type first, then Fill with AI when assist is available — or create trackers manually anytime.

Can I dictate an AI prompt?

This device

Yes. The mic uses on-device speech-to-text to fill the prompt field — audio is not uploaded to My Progress Bar or OpenAI. Nothing is sent for AI until you tap Generate (then the usual prompt rules apply).

Are AI drafts professional advice?

Plus

No. AI drafts are suggestions only — not medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Your prompt is sent through our servers to OpenAI to generate the draft. Review and edit anything before you rely on it.

How does billing work?

Plus

Plus is billed through the App Store or Google Play. Subscribe starts billing immediately ($2.99/month or $24.99/year). An optional 7-day free trial is a separate option — unless you cancel before it ends, you are charged automatically for the selected plan when the trial ends, then the subscription renews until you cancel. Manage or cancel in your store’s subscription settings. Cancel keeps Plus until the period ends; then Free rules and the attachment grace window apply (see “What happens when Plus ends?”).
