Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the My Progress Bar mobile application (the "App") published under the My Progress Bar brand. By using the App you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Contact: support@myprogressbar.app.

The App

• My Progress Bar helps you track personal goals, checklists, targets, Life Reminders, and shared progress. In-app Calendar and Schedule show your dues (separate from optional Add to Calendar or Sync to phone calendar). Targets may show an optional unit (money, weight, distance, %, count, or a short custom label).
• Free — local trackers, capped owned cloud sync when signed in (5 active · 10 lists · lifetime creates 25, or 10 starting at 0 after a paid Plus period ends · up to 3 Life Reminders), Joined lists 5 · Trackers to join 5, limited AI trials (3 in the first 30 days after account creation), and peer sharing. Attachments stay on-device (~20 MB total · 5 files/tracker) until Plus. Owner Archive holds up to 5 lists for 24 hours each.
• Plus — higher owned cloud sync (10 active · 25 lists · 25 creates/month UTC · up to 10 Life Reminders), Joined 10 · Trackers to join 10, attachment backup (100 MB), and AI drafts (30/month; no separate daily burst).

Lists you join as a member also count toward Active and Lists, and still use Joined / Trackers-to-join caps. Create meters are owned lists only. Owner Archive holds up to 5 lists for 24 hours each (full Archive replaces the oldest). When Trackers to join is full, extra named invites may land in a short inbox-full history (up to 5) until you free a waiting slot. We do not market Plus as unlimited sync.

Attachments on finished trackers: After you complete or archive a tracker, attachment files (photos and PDFs) are automatically deleted after 90 days on Free. On Plus, you may turn on Keep finished photos to skip that purge (files continue to count toward your cloud quota). The tracker and your recorded progress remain. The App warns you when the 90-day schedule starts. Keep your own copies of documents you need longer.

Cloud attachments after Plus ends: If your Plus subscription ends while you still have cloud-backed files, those files stay view/download only for 30 days. From day 31 they are inaccessible on our cloud while you may renew. After 60 days, if you are still on Free, we delete those cloud attachment files. Files that exist only on your device are your responsibility. Renew Plus before purge to keep cloud access to remaining files.

When Plus ends (soft downgrade)

Canceling Plus keeps paid access until the end of the current billing period. When you return to Free:

• Your trackers and progress remain — we do not delete lists solely to fit Free caps.
• If you are over Free soft caps (for example more than 5 active or 10 lists, or more than 5 Joined lists), you may keep the excess but cannot grow (new owned creates, new Accepts into Joined, and some invites/adds) until you free room or renew Plus.
• After a paid Plus period ends (not a store refund), Free lifetime creates reset to 0 of 10. Refunds do not grant that reset.
• Cloud attachments follow the 30 / 31–60 / 60-day purge schedule above (read-only → inaccessible → purge if still Free).
• AI uses Free trial rules only (typically unavailable if your account is older than 30 days).

Plus subscription

Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices: $2.99/month or $24.99/year. Subscribe bills immediately. A 7-day free trial is optional on monthly or yearly — unless you cancel before the trial ends, payment is charged automatically for the selected plan when the trial ends, then renews until canceled. Paid product IDs: mpb_plus_monthly, mpb_plus_yearly. Trial product IDs: mpb_plus_monthly_trial, mpb_plus_yearly_trial.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel in your store account subscription settings.
• Plus is per account — not shared with family or collaborators.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. A refund may end Plus without resetting Free lifetime create counters the way a normal paid expiration does (see “When Plus ends” above).

Free features

You may use local trackers and share trackers with others without a subscription. Signed-in Free accounts sync up to 5 active owned lists and 10 lists, with lifetime creates 25 (or 10 starting at 0 after a paid Plus period ends), up to 3 Life Reminders, plus Joined 5 and Trackers to join 5. Limited AI trial: 3 drafts in the first 30 days after account creation. Higher owned sync (10 · 25 · 25 creates/month UTC), up to 10 Life Reminders, Joined 10 · Trackers to join 10, cloud attachment backup (100 MB), and AI (30/month) require Plus. When Plus ends, lists stay under soft caps — see “When Plus ends” above.

Sharing

• People who join a shared tracker can see that list’s progress and related content, including Assign tags (free-text names and people tags on items).
• Friends and people on lists you share with may see whether your account is Free or Plus as a tint on avatars. That cue does not include payment card numbers, prices, receipts, or renewal dates.
• Each person’s Joined and Trackers to join caps apply to lists and invites addressed to them (Free 5 joined · 5 waiting; Plus 10 · 10).
• The owner sets access: View only, Some people can edit, or Editable for all, and may limit who can invite others. View only members cannot change progress or post Updates; Can edit members can update progress and Updates. Structure edits remain with the owner (or Editors). The owner may also Lock items so Members may only change items they are assigned to (or unlocked rows); Editors and the owner are unrestricted. Visibility is unchanged.
• You are responsible for what you share, who you invite, and the access level you grant — including free-text Assign names and who you tag.
• Attachment cloud backup on a shared tracker follows the owner’s plan. Adding or removing cloud attachments on a shared list requires the owner’s Plus backup for that list.

AI drafts

AI draft features (including Free trial and Plus quotas) generate suggestions only. They are not medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, or other professional advice. When assist is available, you choose Checklist, Target, or Life Reminder first, then use Fill with AI; tapping Generate sends your prompt text to OpenAI as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-generated content before relying on it. Optional microphone dictation converts speech to text on your device; audio is not uploaded — only the resulting prompt text is sent when you request a draft.

Your content

You own the trackers and attachments you create. You grant us a limited license to host and sync your content only to operate the App (including sharing with people you invite and AI drafts when you request them). Attachment files on finished trackers are subject to the 90-day auto-delete rule above; progress records remain.
